Development of Exports and Imports in Lampung Province June 2009

EXPORT
The total export value of Lampung Province in June 2009 reached US$ 194.58 million or decreased by US$ 5.04 million (2.53 percent) compared to exports in May 2009, while compared to June 2008 it decreased by US$ 115.81 million (37, 31 percent) of US$ 310.39 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Lampung Province from January to June 2009 reached US$ 1,028.70 million or a decrease of 27.40 percent compared to the same period in 2008.
A fairly high decline in exports occurred in Animal/Vegetable Fats and Oils which fell by US$ 35.28 million and Paper/Pulp fell by US$ 2.12 million. Meanwhile, the highest increase in exports in June 2009 occurred in Coffee, Tea and Spices which rose by US$ 26.04 million and Organic Chemicals by US$ 1.53 million.
IMPORT
The non-oil and gas import value of Lampung Province in June 2009 reached US$ 32.39 million or decreased by US$ 18.67 million (36.56 percent) compared to May 2009 which was recorded at US$ 51.06 million, while during January-June 2009 it reached US$ 223.93 million or a decrease of 34.25 percent compared to the same period in 2008.
Significant import declines occurred in Mechanical Machines/Aircraft and Oil Grains, which fell by US$ 20.06 million and US$ 4.14 million respectively. Meanwhile, the largest increase in imports in June 2009 occurred in Live Animals, which increased by US$ 9.01 million.
