The total export value of Lampung Province in July 2012 reached US$463.9 million or an increase of US$223.8 million (93.22%) compared to exports in June 2012 which were recorded at US$240.1 million. The export value in July 2012 recorded the highest record ever in Lampung. Exports in July 2012, compared with July 2011, rose US$192.6 million (70.96%) from US$271.4 million.
The seven main categories of goods that experienced an increase in export value in July 2012 compared to June 2012 were animal/vegetable fats & oils of US$108.5 million; coffee, tea, spices up US$74.2 million; wood pulp/pulp US$13.9 million; food industry waste US$6.9 million; organic chemicals US$2.8 million; cocoa/chocolate US$2.4 million; and fish and shrimp US$0.5 million. The three main categories of goods that experienced a decline in export value were rubber and rubber goods at US$4.1 million; processed fruit/vegetables US$ 2.5 million; and processed meat and fish US$0.7 million.
The largest contribution to export value in July 2012 occurred in animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; wood pulp/pulp and fish and shrimp, each contributing 37.63%; 27.92%; 4.58%; and 3.10% of total July 2012 exports from Lampung Province. The role of these four groups reached 73.23% of the total export value in the same period.
The main destination country for exports in July 2012 was Italy which reached US$93.7 million, followed by the United States, Taiwan and Japan valued at US$46.2 million, US$36.2 million and US$34.8 million respectively. The role of the four reached 45.44% of total exports that month.
