Abstract

In May 2020, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 105.08 in April 2020 to 104.78 in May 2020, resulting in deflation of 0.29 percent.

Based on calendar year inflation calculations (point to point), May 2020 experienced inflation of 0.48 percent, while year on year (yoy) inflation in May 2020 compared to May 2019 was 1.64 percent.

Of the eleven expenditure groups, two expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group experienced deflation of 1.59 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group 0.03 percent. On the other hand, seven groups experienced inflation, namely the information, communication and financial services group experienced inflation of 1.32 percent; personal care and other services group 0.53 percent; transportation group 0.33 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 0.29 percent; health group 0.25 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 0.13 percent; and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the other two expenditure groups did not experience changes in the index.
