Abstract

in preparing economic development plans, information is needed about economic developments in a relatively short period of time. The information in question can, among other things, be obtained through reviewing quarterly GDP data and indicators. Apart from planning, quarterly GRDP can also be used to develop econometric models to observe short-term or seasonal economic fluctuations.
During the fourth quarter of 2012, Lampung's economy weakened 8.13 percent from the previous quarter (q to q). Compared to the same quarter in 2011 (y on y), Lampung's economy increased by 7.40 percent. Cumulatively, Lampung's economic growth up to the fourth quarter of 2012 (c to c) grew 6.48 percent, which shows economic growth during 2012.
In "q to q" sectoral growth, three sectors experienced declining growth, namely the Agriculture sector, the Mining and Quarrying sector, and the Trade, Hotel and Restaurant sector. The largest growth occurred in the Services sector which grew at a rate of 5.36 percent, while the Electricity, Gas and Clean Water sector grew 4.91 percent, and the Processing Industry sector grew at a rate of 2.45 percent. When compared with the same quarter of the previous year, it was recorded that all sectors experienced positive growth except for the Mining and Quarrying subsector where growth weakened.
Lampung's economic structure in the fourth quarter of 2012 did not experience significant changes in composition and sequence. The agricultural sector still has the largest role in the Lampung economy.
In terms of expenditure, growth in the fourth quarter of 2012 was -8.13 percent (q to q), on a y on y basis of 7.4 percent, influenced by the Household Consumption (4.26 percent) and PMTB (2.03 percent) components. ).
During the year GRDP Expenditure grew by 6.48 percent, influenced by Household Consumption (3.64 percent) and PMTB (1.49 percent).
The GRDP structure according to expenditure in the fourth quarter of 2012 is dominated by the household consumption component (57.31 percent), PMTB (19.64 percent) and government consumption (14.38 percent).
