The total export value of Lampung Province in June 2012 reached US$240.1 million or decreased by US$15.9 million (6.2%) compared to exports in May 2012 which was recorded at US$256 million. Exports in June 2012, compared with June 2011, decreased by US$141.3 million (37.06%) from US$381.5 million.
The six main categories of goods that experienced a decline in export value in June 2012 compared to May 2012 were animal/vegetable fats & oils of US$10.3 million; wood pulp/pulp US$8.3 million; rubber and rubber goods US$7.2 million; cocoa/chocolate US$3.4 million; organic chemicals US$2.2 million; and processed fruit/vegetables US$0.1 million. The four main categories of goods that experienced an increase in export value were coffee, tea, spices which increased by US$ 10.2 million; processed meat and fish US$0.3 million; fish and shrimp and sugar and confectionery US$0.2 million each.
The largest contribution to export value in June 2012 occurred in animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; processed fruit/vegetables and rubber and rubber goods, each contributing 27.52%; 23.03%; 6.90%; and 6.10% of total June 2012 exports from Lampung Province. The role of these four groups reached 63.56% of the total export value in the same period.
The main destination country for exports in June 2012 was the United States which reached US$27.2 million, followed by Malaysia, the Netherlands and Japan at US$25.3 million, US$24.1 million and US$23.7 million respectively. The role of the four reached 41.75% of total exports that month.
