Abstract

A. PADI
Rice production in 2008 (Fixed Figure) was 2.34 million tons of Milled Dry Grain (GKG), an increase of 32.67 thousand tons (1.42 percent) compared to rice production in 2007. The increase in production was due to an increase in productivity of 2,000. 24 quintals per hectare (5.10 percent), namely from 43.97 quintals per hectare of GKG in 2007 to 46.22 quintals per hectare of GKG in 2008.
Rice production in 2009 (Forecast II Figures) is estimated at 2.55 million tons of GKG, an increase of 0.21 million tons (8.82 percent) compared to rice production in 2008 (Fixed Figures). The increase in production was due to an increase in harvested area of around 40 thousand hectares (7.99 percent) and an increase in productivity of 0.35 quintals per hectare (0.76 percent), namely from 46.22 quintals per hectare of GKG in 2008 to 46.57 quintals. per hectare GKG in 2009.

B. CORN
Corn production in 2008 (Fixed Figure) was 1.81 million dry shelled tons, an increase of 0.46 million tons (34.38 percent) compared to corn production in 2007. The increase in corn production was caused by an increase in harvested area of 17.58 thousand hectares (4.75 percent) and increased productivity by 10.30 quintals per hectare (28.29 percent).
Corn production in 2009 (Forecast II Figures) is estimated at 2.06 million dry shelled tons, or an increase of 0.25 million tons (13.86 percent) compared to production in 2008 (Fixed Figures). The estimated increase in production is due to an increase in harvested area of 45.77 thousand hectares (11.81 percent) and productivity of 0.86 quintals per hectare (1.83 percent)

C. SOYBEAN
Soybean production in 2008 (Fixed Figure) was 6.68 thousand tons of dry beans, an increase of 3.28 thousand tons (96.64 percent) compared to production in 2007. The increase in production occurred mainly due to an increase in harvested area of 2.65 thousand tons (88.10 percent).
Soybean production in 2009 (Forecast II Figures) is estimated at 15.14 thousand tons of dry beans or an increase of 8.46 thousand tons (122.76 percent) compared to 2008 (Fixed Figures). The increase in soybean production is estimated to occur due to an increase in harvested area of 6.94 thousand hectares (122.66 percent) and productivity of 0.22 quintals per hectare (1.84 percent).
