Average Rice Price (GKP) in Farmers March 2019 decrease to 7.90 percent

Abstract

During March 2019, the Grain Producer Price Survey recorded 45 observations. Observation was dominated by the grain quality of Low Quality Dry Harvest (GKP) and Grain Quality.

The highest grain price at the farm level reaches Rp. 5,500.00 per kg in GKP quality grain with Ciherang variety found in Gading Rejo District, Pringsewu Regency. The lowest grain price reaches Rp. 4,100.00 per kg in GKP quality grain with Jasmine varieties found in Seputih Raman District, Central Lampung Regency. The price is above the Government Purchase Price (HPP), which is Rp. 3,700.00 per kg.

At the mill level, the highest grain price is Rp. 5,550.00 per kg in GKP quality grain with Ciherang variety found in Gading Rejo Subdistrict, Pringsewu Regency, while the lowest grain price of GKP quality group is Rp. 4,180.00 per kg with Jasmine Varieties in Seputih Raman District, Central Lampung Regency. The price is above the HPP, which is Rp. 3,750.00 per kg.

Grain prices at the farm level fell in March. The decline in the average price of the GKP quality group at the farm level was 7.90 percent from Rp. 5,117.76 per kg to Rp. 4,713.51 per kg. With the same quality group, the price of grain at the grinding level fell by 7.52 percent from Rp. 5,195.39 per kg to Rp. 4,804.59 per kg.
