May 2017, Bandar Lampung City experienced an inflation of 0.89 percent due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 128.78 in April 2017 to 129.92 in May 2017. Four expenditure groups contributed to inflation in Bandar Lampung City, the group Foodstuffs contributed to inflation of 0.65 percent; Food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.03 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.22 percent; And the transport, communication & financial services group by 0.01 percent. In contrast, the health group contributed deflation by 0.02 percent. While clothing and education, recreation, and sports groups do not contribute to inflation
