In 2022, the BPS-Statistics has the task of carrying out the Initial Data Collection for Social and Economic Registration, this assignment is a follow-up to the direction of Mr. President Jokowi at several limited cabinet meetings that discussed the need for Reform of the Social Protection System. This emphasis was also conveyed by the President in delivering a speech regarding the 2023 State Budget Bill on August 16, 2022 at the DPR building.
Regsosek data will bridge the coordination and sharing of data across institutions and across regions to ensure consistent use of data for the implementation of social protection and economic empowerment. The purpose of the Regsosek Preliminary Data Collection is to provide a system and database of the entire population consisting of profiles, social conditions, economy, and welfare levels related to population master data and other databases up to the village/kelurahan level.
Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Le'Man Hotel Unit 2 Tulang Bawang, a regional coordination meeting at the district level was held in the context of regsosek. The Regsosek Coordination Meeting was opened by Assistant I, for the Government and Welfare Sector of the Tulang Bawang Regional Secretary, Dr. Ahmad Suharyo M.Si who was present to represent the Regent, who at that time had other activities. In his opening, it was stated that during the Covid-19 pandemic various social assistance had been sought by the government to reduce the pressure faced by the community. Implementation of the initial Regsosek data collection is expected to produce valid data that can be used as the main data standard for determining policies. It was also instructed to the ranks of the local government, including the sub-district head, village head and OPD to provide full support for the implementation of this initial regsosek data collection.
while the head of the Tulang Bawang Regency BPS, Gunawan Catur P, in his presentation said that the initial data collection on regsosek needed support from all parties, both government agencies, the private sector and all levels of society. The honesty of the community in providing answers to officers is very important so that the resulting data really gives a complete picture of the condition of the community. Confidentiality of data is guaranteed by Law No. 16 of 1997 on Statistics.
Support for the implementation came from the Forkompimda ranks, sub-district heads throughout the Tulang Bawang Regency, company representatives, the chairman of Apdesi who were present as representatives of the village/kelurahan heads who attended this event.
On this occasion, officers from organic were also introduced who would later go down to the field as well as coordinate directly with the sub-district heads and subordinates.
